I too was a little disappointed that the vendor did not make it clear that it was imported from Japan and the US. Although they operate fine with each other, they do not appear to operate when interchanged with the original controller and nunchuk supplied with the wii.

It’s Japanese - so hopefully you’ve got the instructions from the one that came with your Wii.

My feeling is that the seller should be mentioning that this is a Japanese import, with Japanese instructions.

Also, I’m not too sure how this would affect warranty etc.

You would be impressed by its quality in such a low cost. So I definitely recommend this because it is worth the money, and the gameplay.
