Picross (Nintendo DS)

Picross (Nintendo DS)
Customer Review: Absorbing mental challenge
The premise is simple - you must uncover a picture using only the numbers at the side and top of a grid to guide you which of the boxes should be filled or remain blank . The pick up and play approach , long associated with Nintendo handheld games , is again in evidence here .
The puzzles are myriad , and will keep you playing - ‘just one more go’ . There is also the opportunity for daily challenges and wireless play .
Customer Review: Fun, in sudoku-ish style
I’m actually torn between loving this game and finding it mildly irritating. The premise is very very simple: you have a grid, and next to each row and column a set of numbers indicating the length (and order) of each contiguous block of cells you need to select. Take a look at the screenshots and you should see what I mean.
This game probably is most suitable for people who enjoy logic puzzles (sudoku et cetera), though the starting levels are easily accessible enough for anyone to pick up. The built-in puzzles are finite (though large) in number, but there is also an editor so that you can create your own (presumably to share with your equally-geeky friends), so you shouldn’t hit a premature lack of content.
I do have some gripes about this product: the controls are slightly fiddly, and playing for long periods on the larger (15×15) grids may make your head hurt from looking at the tiny numbers. People who get easily frustrated by tough logic problems will find levels past the earlier ones to be unpleasant, but with patience and careful calculation they certainly all seem to be solvable, and indeed the learning curve is pretty comfortable.
Overall, it’s an excellent way to waste 10 mins - 1 hour at a time, and pretty addictive. Very much worth buying (even over things like Brain Training) if you have a DS and want some games which are more pick-up-and-play.

The Simpsons (Nintendo DS) Customer Review: As Mr Burns would say “Excellent”
Although it doesnt boast the same 3D graphics as other formats. The 2nd platform works really well. There is a huge amount of dialogue and the cutscenes are all there as well. The game is about the right difficulty with a few hard parts. My only gripe is that its not that long but apart from that definately 5 stars!
