Nintendo DS Lite - Silver

Nintendo DS Lite - Silver
Nintendo DS Lite Silver Console is stylish and compact. Sleeker than the original Nintendo DS console, it features a more streamlined flip-top DS design.
Nintendo DS Lite Silver retains the advanced touch screen technology, allowing players to control the software with a stylus or even their finger, as well as dual screens, voice recognition and Wi-Fi capabilities of the Nintendo DS but is now both smaller and lighter. Weighing nearly 60g less than the original, it is just two thirds of the original size. The redesign isn’t only cosmetic though, the Nintendo DS Lite Silver features adjustable screen brightness with four settings, a repositioned microphone for ease of use and a larger and more comfortable stylus. With its new design and unique features, this console is perfect for everyone regardless of age, gender and gaming skills.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Nintendo DS) Customer Review: So repetitive
This is the first Harry Potter game I’ve played. I thought the film was the best so far and it’s a very good book.
This game starts quite well and I found it interesting to use the stylus to cast spells, but it quickly got very repetitive. I agree with the other reviewers as it sucked all the fun out of playing and just trying to get to the end. I was on a task and noticed I was going to cross the courtyard and thought “Oh no, I’m going to have to duel yet again!”. Not because it’s hard, but it’s so boring.
Also, did the game end on task 28 as no credits came up and I’ve still not even completed 50% of the game according to the save slot? I’ve even done all the mini-game lessons, won a lot of other games and it seems shocking that I’m not even half way through!!!
Customer Review: harry potter order of the phoenix
I was looking forward to playing this game, after just finishing The Goblet of Fire, which was not brilliant but took me over a week to finish and had some difficult tasks especially towards the end, but this took me one day to finish and was boring to the extreme. Too many tasks which are the same and too much time wandering around the school looking for the next task. The duels were too easy. I wouldn’t recommend this game.

Customer Review: addictive for adults or kids
I got my DS as a treat for my hols & really fancied the puzzles rather than midless gaming. It stores several peoples scores so you can share it with family members or mates & see who is the “brainiest” amoung you…its quite addictive & competition can soon break out as everyone wants to increase their score. I definitely wouldnt say its easy to complete & after a few goes you will have “completed it all”…I have played with this an awful lot & getting gold medals in the different categories is no mean feet….its very interesting to see how different each persons brain works…some of the tasks i am brilliant at & some i just cant do properly no matter how hard i train! this is great fun for adults & children alike…definitely i would recommend it
Customer Review: Great Brain Workout — and VERY fun too!
Got this for the kids together with Brain Training. From the childish graphics, I assumed this would be too easy, but I was wrong :-) I love the great variety of games and activities and how challenging they are. Though I also enjoy Brain Training, I prefer Brain Academy because of the variety of activities provided. Ideally, you should get both ;) Big fun for the whole family!

Customer Review: A bit too easy
My missus bought this game a couple of weeks ago as she fancied a cartoony racing game. She wasn’t particularly impressed with it. I’ve had a play with it too and if I had played the original on the N64 then I might have pangs of nostalgia which added warmth for the game - but I didn’t and was left a little cold by it. My main gripe with it is that it is too easy. The first time I picked it up I did a quick race, managed to take the lead after a few seconds and got stuck at the side of a tunnel/bridge. I reversed a few times and got myself back on the track - still in 1st! There was no challenge. I got a few boosts and used them to extend my lead. I’m not even that great on racing games usually (I thought I was good on Mario Kart until my mate Marc whipped me into the ground on it!). There are some good aspects - you can choose to race by road, water, or air - and the little planes are very cute! The power-ups are a bit different to those on other games - and if you collect several of the same colour you can increase the power of your power-up. But - I felt that I was getting into 1st and not really facing any competition. There’s no challenge, it was always going to be tough creating a driving game for a platform where Mario Kart exists (it is absolutely brilliant), and with there being no ‘thrill of the chase’ in this game, you lose any real passion for it after a few goes.
Customer Review: Does exactly what it says on the tin!
Like the other reviewer, I brought this game and feel that it does need defending. First off I love these kind of games…blowing up opposition and getting speed powerups to whizz past your opposition… As far as the game goes, yes it is great, the DS have captured it well with the driving in the top window and the map in the bottom. Ingenious idea for the starting grid…depending on which veichle you have will depend on what you can do. The car is just a simple up and down spin your tyres, The hovercraft is a circular aciton on the touch screen and the plane, get this….blowing onto the touch screen!! The only slight snag I have with the game is the lack of weapons, there is only the missile and the oil slick, but with the upgrading of these if you collect more of the same powerful does make it worthwhile. All in all a good solid game…my first one of the DS!
