Nintendo DS Lite Handheld Console (Pink)

Nintendo DS Lite Handheld Console (Pink)
In a nutshell:
It may have taken the world by storm with its huge range of genuinely innovative new games but there’s no denying that the Nintendo DS is not exactly the most portable of portable consoles. That’s all changed now with this sleek and sexy update.

The lowdown:
When the Nintendo DS was first announced it was dismissed by many as a white elephant - with a gimmicky interface and underpowered graphics. Over 15 million sales later and the story is a little different. The DS Lite is fully compatible with all existing Nintendo DS (and Game Boy Advance) games but it’s smaller, sleeker and lighter - with a new design that perfectly matches the Nintendo Wii console. The most impressive feature is the new backlit screens which offer the sharpest image ever seen on a portable console. The DS Lite is available in three separate colours: White, Black and Pink.

Most exciting feature:
The DS Lite now has four brightness settings - the highest is brighter than even the PSP and is clearly visible in any lighting condition. That sound? That’ll be Sony executives running to the hills - wearing sunglasses.

Since you ask:
The Nintendo DS is the fast selling console ever in Japan. When the DS Lite was released, it sold out instantly, with queues of over 1,000 people a common sight.

The bottom line:
The DS gets a face lift to become Nintendo’s best looking portable ever. - Harrison Dent

Customer Review: <3<3<3 My DS
I’ve been wanting a pink DS Lite ever since the launch, and my boyfriend recently got me it for me. It’s the best thing ever, I can have hours of fun on it and it just looks so cool and girly, I love it! New Super Mario Bros was fun to play, but now that I’ve finished it, Im waiting on my R4 DS, which I heard is a must-have if you’ve got a Nintendo DS. Since I’ve had my DS, 3 of my friends have gone out to buy it as well, and I’m getting my boyfriend one for himself.

The colour screens are really bright and the battery life is good, I have my screen resolution on the 3rd setting (there’s 4 settings) and I can play up to about 4-5 hours in total on it, then the red battery light will come on. The wireless game modes are a lot of fun, and there’s loads of stuff you can buy to customise your DS. I also got the accessory pack for it which came with a matching case, ear phones and in-car charger, so now I practically take my DS everywhere with me =]

Customer Review: Challenging and fun
I have this game as well as Brain Training (first one), and would say that overall, this game is more challenging and probably the better out of the two. After getting gold medals in every catagory, I then discovered that there’s a platinem metal to be won too, which restarted the challenge again, and after 3 months, I’m still enjoying it! The “test” is much harder than on braintraining (I got aged 20 on my first attempt of braintraining and found it far too easy, with nothing to benchmark and improve on), and it requires you to perform well in all 5 categories. After weeks of getting C+ and B-, I’ve finally got an A, although I believe there might be an A+ too, so I’m still trying. The only downside is that after a test, it doesn’t show you individual scores in each category, so you don’t know how close this was to your practice score. I would recommend this to anyone who finds the first braintraining game too easy.
Customer Review: Big Brain Academy
I really enjoyed this game and know that it is suitable for most ages. The game is fun, competitive and educational. Play against your family and friends even if they don’t have the game. The five catagories help determine what type of brain you have. A web graph indicates your level in each catagory. Overall, this game is hours of fun.
