Action Replay Max (Nintendo DS) Customer Review: Useful, though occasionally annoying beyond belief…
Having read a couple of reviews, I was a touch hesitant about purchasing one of these, but went ahead and did it. I’m actually quite glad I did so, despite the hellish time I had getting the thing working.

Here’s the rundown:

The manual is awful. Truly, unforgivably awful. It’s partly incomprehensible, mainly as it gives menu names for functions when none are given on the system, and no pictures that link the what is actually happening. This makes it more than a little hard to follow.
The menus on the DS are graphical, and bear no relation to either the titles in the manual (no piccies in the manual showing “what’s what” either) or their apparent function. It’s like looking at wingdings font in shorthand. You do, on the other hand, get used to them.
The scroll function on the cheat list is slower than a sloth swimming in treacle.
The software is buggy, and maybe require you to spend upwards of two hours getting the thing to update your cheat list (as you are advised to do by the unforgivably awful manual).

However:

It works. Provided you have the patience to get it up and running in the first place, you’ll be able to spend many happy hours cheating your way through your favourite games. Which is why I bought the thing in the first place.
There is a large selection of cheats online. Huge, in fact. Just ensure you delete the ones on the cartridge first, then upload fresh ones for games you want ONLY! Otherwise the first five minutes of use each time will be spent trawling through games you either don’t own or have no interest in.

It’s a little annoying to use, but hey, it does work (most of the time), and that’s what matters. It’s also probably the best known console cheating system out there, so you won’t be running short on new cheats anytime soon. Bonus.

Customer Review: Very disappointing ….
Installed it OK but a key icon is missing from the DS screen. The instruction booklet is completely unintelligible to anyone without a degree in computer science. So unable to add any new codes manually.

Puregadgets Nintendo DS Wifi USB Connection kit for wireless networking
Customer Review: WifiMax
The dongle that comes in this kit is called WifiMax, and it is a *real* pain to set up. The software is hopeless, and google tells many tales of woe with setting it up. I’ve got it to work after a lot of struggle, but I recommend paying the extra ?10 and getting the official Nintendo connector.

DS Lite Deluxe Accessory Pack: Pink (Nintendo DS)
List Price: ?19.99
Amazon Price: ?12.98
Customer Review: A great starter pack for a new nintendo
I gave them to our kids along with their new nintendos at xmas and they have proved very useful already, esp the earphones and the game boxes. I’m sure the car chargers will be very handy too. I love how they are colour co-ordinated, as my daughter is a lover of everything pink!
Customer Review: Definately Buy This - It is such good value
I have now bought 2 of these. A blue one and now a pink one. They are excellent value. The charger is for a older type nintendo DS but there is a converter lead to change it so you can use it on DS lites. The case has plenty of room for your DS and any games you want to take. I will definately buy another one when my young son eventually has a DS.
