NINTENDO DS Lite Console - (Black)
It may have taken the world by storm with its huge range of genuinely innovative new games but theres no denying that the Nintendo DS is not exactly the most portable of portable consoles. Thats all changed now with this sleek and sexy update. When the Nintendo DS was first announced it was dismissed by many as a white elephant with a gimmicky interface and underpowered graphics. Over 15 million sales later and the story is a little different. The DS Lite is fully compatible with all existing Nintendo DS (and Game Boy Advance) games but its smaller, sleeker and lighter with a new design that perfectly matches the Nintendo Wii console. The most impressive feature is the new backlit screens which offer the sharpest image ever seen on a portable console. The DS Lite is available in three separate colours: White, Black and Pink. The DS Lite now has four brightness settings the highest is brighter than even the PSP and is clearly visible in any lighting condition. That sound? That’ll be Sony executives running to the hills - wearing sunglasses. The Nintendo DS is the fast selling console ever in Japan. When the DS Lite was released, it sold out instantly, with queues of over 1,000 people a common sight. The DS gets a face lift to become Nintendos best looking portable ever. - Harrison Dent

Customer Review: A bit of a let down really
I know I’m not a kid anymore, goodness knows 37 is not old but definately old enough for my son to be amazed I’m still alive. I bought one of these for the Brain Training and other brain related ‘games’, but decided that it would be a bit of a waste not to use it for a few games. My son has a PSP and really, it knocks the DS into a cocked hat as far as graphics, game play, ease of use, colours etc are concerned. I bought a few games, Brothers in Arms, Golden Compass and Simpsons and found that I was completely bored within about 2-3 minutes, whereas the PSP because of its instant action fast paced game play would keep me occupied for ages. The DS is a well made console admitedly, with some nice touches and a wider variety of aftermarket accessories, but it still looks dated. The graphics and very slow pace of the games (at least the ones I have) make it feel like an early 90’s console. If you’re my age and are getting one for yourself just for the fairly wide selection of brain training programmes out there, then it’s great. Very satisfying and will create a very healthy atmosphere of competition between you and your partner. But for someone who is a connoiseur of graphics and gameplay, then I think they might be somewhat dissappointed. The need to use the touch screen, main controls and shoulder buttons is a bit much at times and can become very frustrating for younger children. The 3 stars is really just for the great fun it can be for us duffers using the brain training. I’d get one just for that alone.

Customer Review: fantastic family fun
I bought this game based on previous reviews and I can tell you that I was not disappointed. It is much better than Tetris and bejewelled. It starts off nice and easy and increases in difficulty to keep you on your toes. There are several options including daily play and you can personalise the colour scheme both background and blocks. I let my mother have a try and now have to wrestle it off her. Fun for all the family and will make the time pass very quickly. Since buying this I have neglected my other games, it is that good.
Customer Review: Bejeweled
This is a fun game, no doubt about it. It is basically bejeweled for those of you who know it (and for those of you who dont- search for it in google as you can play it online for free). You move blocks around to create 3 or more in a row and then they vanish and you get points. However, unlike bejeweled, you can ONLY move the blocks horizontally, not vertically! This is hugely frustrating!

Nintendo DS Lite R4 Revolution Version 2
Customer Review: Hope this helps important info regarding set-up
Speedy delivery arrived within 3 days. Now that I have finally got this product working it is excellent as it converts the DS into a media player to rival that of the psp. Games can also be obtained. I would have given this 5 stars if it wasn’t for the fiddly start up due to no cd rom but please don’t let this put you off as it really is worth it please read below for a guide to get it up and running. You should note that you will need to format a micro SD card with files and paths in order for it to work. This isn’t that straight forward especially as it doesn’t come with a CD rom. You have to go to R4DS.com to obtain the necessary files. This will be called a kernel just download the latest version. However the files are stored in a .rar file which is a type of zip file. Unless you have software windows cannot open it so you will need to go to download.com and obtain software to unlock the files within the .rar file this software is free I used ABBY FineReader 6.0 Sprint. Once this is done you can follow the instructions on R4DS to save the files in the correct order to the SD card hope this helps
Customer Review: Disaster!!!
I have purchased an R4 and it was a nightmare! nothing would work - videos wouldnt play but then you have to convert then which is another problem! it was awful and to top it all off because it is a modification software, it voids your ds warranty because it involves internal software changes within the ds’ system. overall poor
