Customer Review: Brilliant and addictive!
This is a terrific compendium of solitaire games, and so addictive that I have charged my DS, run it down and continued playing while it was charging in one sitting! There are a lot of games included, with a variety of options to alter some of the rules, so your favourite is bound to be here. The games do sometimes have names that I don’t recognise, but there is a lot of fun to be had in going through them all and finding your favourite. Many of the games are fairly similar, but then that’s solitaire! Because the cards are drawn differently every time you just never get bored! The only (very small) criticism is that on some of the large layout games, the cards can be a little small. If someone had poor vision it could be quite hard. But for the majority I would say it is fine. You do also get used to the slider at the side of the very long chains of cards, it doesn’t bother me at all now. Buy it! You won’t want to play anything else!
Customer Review: Addictive
To be honest I never knew there were so many types of Solitaire till I bought this game which as you will have guessed has plenty of them. Some are easy to understand, others less so. However, there are instructions on how to play each game but sometimes these were difficult to understand and it was easier just to muddle through till you got the gist of it. I would say it is very addictive and you keep touching that play again option. It is ideal to keep you entertained without taxing your brain too much and would be especially good on flights/departure lounges. The game is suitable for older children who can be shown what to do to anyone else who enjoys playing solitaire. The gameplay is basic because it is just based on a pack of cards with different layouts but has the obvious advantage of not taking as much room up as a real set of cards. All in all a decent little game for lovers of solitaire.

Customer Review: Interesting!
This is a really fun gadget to have if your really into your cooking AND playing on the DS. Annoying thing about it is that the mic is MEGA sensitive, so while you are preparing your recipe, every sound might trigger the mascot chef guy to say, “pardon?”, “sorry?” and sometimes he might recognise it as “continue” or “Repeat” and the steps will get a bit messed up….. PLUS I wish that their were more recipes … or at least an upgrade for more … oh well, cant have everything! All in all … a defo buy if you like a bit of somthing different in your cooking — i recommend the chinese beef stir fry ITS AWSOME!!!
Customer Review: A great aid for any cook!!!
I saw this advertised and had to buy it, even if it was just to find out that it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be… However having used it last night to make a very nice bolognese dish I can confirm that it does exactly what it says it does. There are recipes from around the world, and the recipes can be adjusted to cater for different numbers of portions, however this is only in multiples of 2 which when you have a family of 3 can mean either making too little or too much. The instructions on how to prepare the ingredients are great, the video clips are easy to follow and I recommend it to anyone who is starting out with cooking. The shopping list is fantastic for making sure you have all the ingredients and if you live in an area where you cannot purchase “foreign” ingredients there are a list of alternatives which can be used. The only downside is the voice activation. When I used it I discovered that the sound of chopping ingredients would make the program skip back a place, or even more frustratingly, make the chef repeat things he had already said. I think though that I will have to persevere with trial and error when it comes to the placement of the DS when I am cooking. There are also a lack of vegetarian dishes in the aid (I refuse to call this a game), in fact if you do a keyword search for vegetarian it brings up 3 dishes, 1 of which contains fish!! All in all a good buy if you like trying new dishes from around the world. I have a fair few cook books as I love cooking but have often dismayed at having to run back and forth to a book to follow a recipe. This takes away all that hassle.
