Cooking Mama (Nintendo DS)
Cooking Mama challenges players to use the stylus as a master kitchen tool to cook 76 real world dishes ranging from pepperoni pizza to cabbage meat rolls. Players use the stylus to chop, slice, pan fry, knead, grate, mash, peel and more. Under Mama’s watchful eye, players must first prepare ingredients, then combine, cook and present the final meal all via the touch screen. Players can even cool down dishes by blowing into the DS microphone.
Customer Review: cooking mama
This is a fantastic game for all ages, even adults!
I have burnt my pork stir fry every time, but my 6yr old gets 80-100 points each time, I also can’t hit the right place to crack an egg, but yes my daughter can!
On to cooking mama 2, hopefully it is as good!

Customer Review: Fun and Entertaining
I just love these type of games and this one does not disappoint. My son just bought a DS Lite and now has the added benefit of me buying games for it. They are so addictive. However, I know my mental maths skills are coming on. This game has various ‘brain’ games from simple maths to making words up from a selection of letters circulating. Harder games open up once you reach a certain level and your progress is always recorded and monitored. The game can save up to 4 profiles which means the whole family can join in. The first page where you select your profile shows everyone’s brain age. The games show both your overall best 3 scores and the top 3 scores from everyone playing the game. Both me and my son are getting quite competitive trying to be no 1. You know it is giving your brain a work out because you actually feel tired after it. You can test yourself which then gives you your brain age the ultimate age being 20. The game also comes with sudoku which is really easy to play. A lot better than paper, pencil and the essential rubber. Definitely a must buy if you like this type of game.

Customer Review: Good fun, nicely done
A neat and well rendered game version of the fantastic film. Play as Remy and really enter the world of the rat, hiding from humans, avoiding traps, poison, electric wires, scrambling up walls, leaping from shelves and ledges. You complete missions and can also do mini cooking games. The graphics are excellent and the sound is good. Altogether a game that’s fun to play and if you like the film this is for you! Check out the Ratatouille DS bag as well.
Customer Review: Great graphics but not for the experienced gamer
I got this game as a christmas present and wasn’t sure if I would like it although I have seen the film. But once I started playing it I couldn’t stop! You play as Remy and there are two modes. Story mode follows the plot of the film more or less and consists of lots of ‘missions’ where you have to either find food or find your way from one place to the next. The missions are relatively simple as there is no way to get lost when finding your way around but there is an added feature to make it more difficult… When you are looking for food in the kitchens you have a visibility meter which fills up if you can be seen so you have to hide every so often to make it go down or you lose a life. You control Remy either with the D-pad or using the stylus but I find it much easier and faster to use the D-pad. There is also cooking mode where you have to prepare, cook and finish off food in the kitchen using the stylus which is also incorporated into story mode and is a great extra minigame! The graphics are very realistic. I would recommend the game to anyone who isn’t that experienced with gaming and any children who are fans of the film as for more experienced people it would probably be too easy as I completed 87% in only a few days. (I am currently stuck at 87% after finding the first 10 ingredients I can’t find the rest so if anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks xD)
Nintendo DS Lite Browser
In a nutshell:
The DS finally gets its very own Web browser, as Nintendo firmly embraces the Internet age and finds some clever new uses for the touch screen and stylus.
The lowdown:
The DS Browser comes on both its own DS cartridge and a memory pack that fits into the GBA slot of your DS (there are two version of the Browser, with memory packs to fit either the original DS or the DS Lite). The obvious benefit of surfing the Web on a DS is the large screen area afforded by two screens and the stylus - which also makes typing in Web addresses a lot easier. The problems though are a low screen resolution and the fact that the browser doesn’t support Flash files, movie files, sound files, PDFs or anything else that needs a plug-in to work. As long as you recognise the limitations though, this is still a cheap and easy way to access the Internet when on the move.
Most exciting moment:
The big problem with accessing the Web outside of PC monitor is that it doesn’t all fit on screen at once. The DS overcomes this problem in perhaps the most elegant manner yet, with an option to put an overview of the whole page on the top screen while letting you scroll around on a zoomed in version on the touch screen.
Since you ask:
The DS Browser is based on a PC application called Opera, developed by Opera Software. The same company is also creating a version of the browser for use with the Wii console, which will be free for the first six months of the console’s life.
The bottom line:
Surf the Web on the move, but don’t expect an entirely smooth ride. -HARRISON DENT

Customer Review: Effectively Useless
The concept of the browser for DS and DS Lite is simple, an Opera based web browser optimised for the system allowing you to view web pages on your Nintendo handheld. While it accomplishes this the end result is effectively useless, the Nintendo DS just was not designed for web browsing and this is very obvious. Reading most text requires zooming in to a degree that excessive scrolling is required, loading speeds are generally slow and macromedia flash is not possible due to the memory limitations. While having a web browser on the DS has its uses, it is rarely as enjoyable as using a computer. This combined with the limited functionality of the browser create a heavily overpriced item. For the ?20-?30 people are spending, this needed to be something above expectations. It isn’t.
Customer Review: Useful Net Access for Travellers
Do you get out and about a lot but are afraid to lose contact with your far away internet buddies? Then this nifty piece of software is perfect for you! Available in both DS and DS Lite versions (the first will stick out of the Lite, naturally), the DS Browser is perfect for checking and sending e-mails or looking up the odd bit of data. It has an in built handwriting recognizer which makes writing more simpler than the point and click method. Password and minor customization features are also included. And yes, the DS Browser also works in America! I bought one for a friend over there and it checked out great with her. Just remember, with its limited supply of memory included in the GBA memory cart, visiting websites with a lot of imagery isn’t a good idea. You can’t view anything that requires a plugin, so Flash movies are a no-go. And you certainly can’t use any form of IM chat (but in browser chat clients like GTalk may well be an option). But for keeping in touch when you’re on the move, it’s very handy and a lot cheaper to maintain than mobile phone text messages. Just make sure you keep a list of the nearest Wi-Fi hotspots handy.

Customer Review: Great racing and racing Wi-Fi is brill
It doesn’t take long to complete all the missions but they were fun while they lasted. There is plenty of races including grand prixs and battles. WiFi is brilliant especially playing with up to eight people. It’s one of the best racing games i have ever played and the different characters to decide from and unlock (Luigi and Yoshi are the best!). I highly recommend it but don’t rush through it!!!
Customer Review: Best racing game ever!
I thought this game would be really bad but i absoloutly love it! the wifi just makes this game a must have with awesome missions aswell
