DS-Lite Console with Brain Training Game (Nintendo DS)
Amazon.co.uk Review
In a nutshell:
It may have taken the world by storm with its huge range of genuinely innovative new games but there’s no denying that the Nintendo DS is not exactly the most portable of portable consoles. That’s all changed now with this sleek and sexy update.
The lowdown:
When the Nintendo DS was first announced it was dismissed by many as a white elephant - with a gimmicky interface and underpowered graphics. Over 15 million sales later and the story is a little different. The DS Lite is fully compatible with all existing Nintendo DS (and Game Boy Advance) games but it’s smaller, sleeker and lighter - with a new design that perfectly matches the Nintendo Wii console. The most impressive feature is the new backlit screens which offer the sharpest image ever seen on a portable console. The DS Lite is available in three separate colours: White, Black and Pink.
Most exciting feature:
The DS Lite now has four brightness settings - the highest is brighter than even the PSP and is clearly visible in any lighting condition. That sound? That’ll be Sony executives running to the hills - wearing sunglasses.
Since you ask:
The Nintendo DS is the fast selling console ever in Japan. When the DS Lite was released, it sold out instantly, with queues of over 1,000 people a common sight.
The bottom line:
The DS gets a face lift to become Nintendo’s best looking portable ever. - Harrison Dent

Customer Review: Not to be taken seriously……
The game of Brain training requires recognition of answers..either verbal or written by the stylus…..I can’t fathom out why it has so much difficulty identifying letters which are more than legible……Frustrating as it’s a time frame that you are up against. However, it manages to captivate and keep you coming back for more…..
I think I’ll start penning with the stylus in Arabic and hope I have better luck!!The same can be said for determining mathematic symbols, etc!

Customer Review: Good fun, nicely done
A neat and well rendered game version of the fantastic film. Play as Remy and really enter the world of the rat, hiding from humans, avoiding traps, poison, electric wires, scrambling up walls, leaping from shelves and ledges. You complete missions and can also do mini cooking games. The graphics are excellent and the sound is good. Altogether a game that’s fun to play and if you like the film this is for you! Check out the Ratatouille DS bag as well.
Customer Review: Great graphics but not for the experienced gamer
I got this game as a christmas present and wasn’t sure if I would like it although I have seen the film. But once I started playing it I couldn’t stop! You play as Remy and there are two modes. Story mode follows the plot of the film more or less and consists of lots of ‘missions’ where you have to either find food or find your way from one place to the next. The missions are relatively simple as there is no way to get lost when finding your way around but there is an added feature to make it more difficult… When you are looking for food in the kitchens you have a visibility meter which fills up if you can be seen so you have to hide every so often to make it go down or you lose a life. You control Remy either with the D-pad or using the stylus but I find it much easier and faster to use the D-pad. There is also cooking mode where you have to prepare, cook and finish off food in the kitchen using the stylus which is also incorporated into story mode and is a great extra minigame! The graphics are very realistic. I would recommend the game to anyone who isn’t that experienced with gaming and any children who are fans of the film as for more experienced people it would probably be too easy as I completed 87% in only a few days. (I am currently stuck at 87% after finding the first 10 ingredients I can’t find the rest so if anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks xD)

Customer Review: Pretty good value
The only reason that I didn’t give this 5 stars is because I would have liked a spare set of screen protectors. I also found that the 2 provided were slightly different sizes for the different screens but this wasn’t shown and I only found this out once I started putting them on. Overall Pretty good value for money.
Customer Review: Not the best!
I bought this for the screen protectors..however they were the wrong size and not very sticky at all, which wasn’t much good …the stylus set is fine couldn’t go far wrong there thou.

Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie (Nintendo DS) Customer Review: king kong DS
king kong has great graphics but is extremely difficult if u want a challenge then i would recommened getting it only if u have a DS lite because the old DS is not bright enough 2 play it
Customer Review: King Kong On DS Better For PS2!
Ok Basics, Game it’self very hard and well, levels aren’t exciting as they look, you play as one person,…Jack very hard you have to get near a weapon and tap two times to use it! Really the controls are the following: A,B,X,Y and control pad they all move the character so it’s hard to try another action! I’m still stuck on the third level, anyway when i loaded it up didn’t like it…much! All in all it’s ok if you want a challenge then this is the game for you! If i were you get the game for PS2 or Xbox!
