Impressive 3D graphics give lifelike animation to these canine wonders.

Most exciting moment:
After a few attempts to speak commands into the microphone, your puppy understands the meaning of “sit”, barks approval, and sits down. It’s good to talk.

You can keep three pups in your home at any time. When left to their own devices, they’ll play and play-fight together. And they call this ‘puppy love’.

Customer Review: Barking Brilliant!
I totally love this game and it is the best of the Nintendo DS games that I have invested in. It is more than a game though. This is somewhere you can choose a pet, bond with it, train it and look after it. You must be responsible and care for your canine companion(s) as if they were real.

The graphics are great for a format that is limited in resolution and you can get a real sense of the individual personalities of the dogs. As you progress through the game how you treat your pup can affect its temperament and if you are a good owner you can pick up trainer points that unlock more breeds for you to choose pets from.

This is a wonderful concept game from Nintendo and I am so pleased that I decided to purchase it. I must go now to feed and walk my dogs!

This is a very fun and addictive game.

It’s a little limiting while you have only one dog, because, with one dog, you can only teach a few tricks a day, take walks every half hour and enter three contests a day…so that’s the down side.

Everything else is good - the game makes good use of the DS’s touch screen and the graphics are exellent.

All in all it’s a fun fun fun game that’s worth buying if you love dogs.

The Nintendo DS doesn’t need reviews. It’s the biggest selling game system in the world right now and is number 1 in every global marketing territory. It was the first games console to successfully appeal to children, parents, grand parents AND gamers. I’ve owned a lot of hand helds and home consoles and whilst I still feel a bizarre emotional attachment to the GBA SP I have to concede that this is probably the best console I have ever owned. The touch screen just works as a control system and it’s the key to the machines cross-generational appeal. Even my own reluctant Games Widow enjoys Brain Training, the new Tetris and Wario Ware. She said she likes that she doesn’t have to learn what the buttons do if she wants to play on the DS: it’s instinctive. For gamers there are some absolute classic titles available. The DS entries into the Zelda and Mario Kart franchises are among the best both series have ever offered. Sonic and Bleach are much better on the DS then their home console equivalents and Elite Beat Agents is possibly the best music game yet released. Also the DS is the only handheld system currently on the market with a battery life that will see you through a transatlantic flight. My DS also holds a charge much better then my PSP. After a month without touching it my DS still had several hours of power but my PSP runs flat when left alone for a few days. The DS is quite possibly the best system Nintendo have ever made. It certainly has an excellent library of games that will provide years worth of fun for kids and adults alike. I recommend it over any other game system currently available.

I got my DS as a treat for my hols & really fancied the puzzles rather than midless gaming.

It stores several peoples scores so you can share it with family members or mates & see who is the “brainiest” amoung you…its quite addictive & competition can soon break out as everyone wants to increase their score. I definitely wouldnt say its easy to complete & after a few goes you will have “completed it all”…I have played with this an awful lot & getting gold medals in the different categories is no mean feet….its very interesting to see how different each persons brain works…some of the tasks i am brilliant at & some i just cant do properly no matter how hard i train!

this is great fun for adults & children alike…definitely i would recommend it

I love this! I enjoyed the Sims a few years back on my PC, but found it too time consuming to worry about them using the loo and making food etc etc! Animal Crossing is Perfect for those who enjoy a real-time sim without any of the fuss of everyday life. I can’t add anything new to the reviews, but this game is wonderful, so enjoyable and relaxing and, darn…don’t I have an essay deadline that I’ve just lost several hours of writing due to me playing this game?! I can’t get enough, and just have to get back online to check out my furry friends and how they’re doing! It’s sad, but I love it!

Animal Crossing is so amazing! Unlike other games, AC is not very structured, so you can do whatever you want. There are loads of things you can do! Animal Crossing time reflects ours, with morning, day, evening and night, but also the 4 seasons. In winter it snows, in autumn leaves fall, etc. Different events happen too! First, you choose your town’s name, and your name. The taxi driver will ask you a few questions, and then you are all set to go! You go first to Tom Nook, where he will ask you to do a few tasks and errands, taking items to the different animals that live in your town. You also have a map, so you can’t get lost! When you complete your jobs, Tom Nook tells you about your mortgage, that you have to pay off. He also explains that you can buy things at his shop. You buy things with ‘bells.’ The animal crossing equivalent of money. You can buy equipment… Shovel - Plant trees and flowers to make your town beautiful! You can also dig up fossils, and bury items in the ground. Fishing Rod - Go to either the sea, or the river to catch the fish. Different fish appear at different times of the year. Watering Can - Water the flowers you’ve planted, and keep them alive through all weathers! Slingshot - Presents on balloons fly through the air; shoot them down and then collect your prize! Net - Use your net to catch butterflies and bugs. Axe - Use the axe to clear the land. Timer - Use this timer to hold fishing or bug catching competitions with friends! You can also buy furniture, wall paper and carpets to decorate your home! Paper is must have to write to your animal friends, they’ll even write back to you! As you buy more things, Tom Nook will expand his shop! Eventually, he will add on a barbers shop where you can change your hairstyle. There are lots of other places you can go… Able Sisters - Mabel & Sable run a clothes shop, where you can buy ready made clothes, or even design your own! Your patterns can go on hats, clothes, carpets, wallpapers and even umbrellas! Town Gate - Go to the town gate and talk to Copper if you want to visit a friend’s town. If you use Wi-fi, you can visit a town anywhere in the world! If you speak to booker, you can change the town flag, and claim any items in the lost and found. Museum - Donate fossils, bugs, flowers and paintings to the museum, and they will be displayed for all to see! Upstairs there is an observatory where you can create your own constellations! On a Saturday from 8pm onwards, if you go the cafe, KK Slider will play for you! Town Hall - Mail a letter, pay your mortgage, access your bank account, and change the town the town tune… There is so much you can do! Other animal’s Homes - Drop in on your neighbours! They might even want to visit you! Make friends with your fellow residents, and they ay give you gifts, of clothing, furniture or wallpaper! You can also run errands. Everyday something new happens, so you never can get bored! Outside of the DS game, there are many AC Communities, where you can chat to other AC players. In 480p, the image is much sharper and you get less flickering, but it also shows that the Wii is lacking a good anti-aliasing. I’m also not sure that a non-Nintendo cable would not works as good as this quite pricey cable.

I bought this cable more out of curiosity than anything else, and didn’t really know what to expect as there seem to be lots of contradicting reports of what RGB scart does for you. Here’s my attempt to describe its effects having tried out most of my games on it-

Zelda: twilight princess - This game has lots of very small or detailed text, and the cable improved the sharpness of the details.

Mario 64 - surprisingly, this game was enormously improved from the composite cables, making text more readable and graphics more vibrant and well-defined, making the whole game seem fresher.

Sonic 2 - the game feels more vital somehow- presumably because the lines in the background are more defined so you get a greater sense of it whizzing by.

Zelda: A link to the past - The text across the top of the screen (for arrows, bombs, rupees etc) is more readable.

Super Mario Sunshine - Oddly enough considering mario 64, i saw no discernible difference at all with this game.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes - Detailed textures were sharper, and given that this game makes extensive use of pretty textures it makes the game look better. Note: this game runs in 480i only, and 480i seemed to look a lot nicer on my TV through the rgb cable than through composite, though i suspect that depends more on the TV.

Overall, the edges of text and buttons, boxes etc. are better defined, and the edges of 3D objects are better defined. Fine details in textures which would be lost in the blurring of a composite signal are preserved by the rgb cable.

If you can find one of these cables at a relatively reasonable price (I found one priced at ?16.99) then if you’re interested in improved graphics it’s probably worth it, as it does represent the optimum experience on a standard-definition TV.

Does what you would expect a Scart RGB cable to do… Make everything look a lot better, sharper and clearer by a composite comparison. There is no screen ratio switching with this cable, which is usual for Nintendo RGB leads. My X-Box system uses this kind of switch with my 4:3 television and causes a, very squished, wide-screen picture.

One problem, however, is the fact that the Nintendo Wii keeps a signal on, in such cables, even though the machine is in standby/online mode. It keeps the TV focussed on the Wii, even though the console is not being used. This is actually a Wii problem though, rather than the cable.

If you are using a standard screen TV, it’s probably best you use this Nintendo RGB cable.

Great gun for playing Umbrella Chronicles. The aim is fine and the sensor is not blocked. The buttons on the Wii mote are harder to use with the gun but the nunchuck has the same controls as the Wii mote so this is not a problem. I can’t wait until House of the Dead comes out on the Wii then it will just be like playing it on the arcade machine.

Was excited about getting this but it took less than a month to get bored and trade it in. I think in that time I only played it about 5 times. The choice of songs is ok, but even if you are a rubbish singer its easy to score high points. The dancing on the other hand seems very hard and the tutorials are stupidly short. You try out the “steps” 3 times - meaning that if you waft the remote about for a few seconds you tend to do it whether you intended to or not! If its singing you are after - go for one of the singstar games on the PS2/3 - great fun and much better realised than this. Dancing wise, you are best sticking to one of the older style dance mat games out there. Great idea but really badly worked out. Shame.
Customer Review: Singstar’s still tops for me
I was so excited to buy this game to play over Christmas with all hte family; we are big fans of Singstar on the Playstation and I had expected great things from this with the dancing as well as singing. I was very disappointed. I found it laboriously slow to get started and some of the controls were annoying. The dance moves were rubbish, it was just like waving around the controller and you don?t really have much control over the moves the computer character makes. Also, if you use the controller and the nunchuk for extra moves, how do you hold the mic to sing? We got around this by having one person sing and another dance and it was fine as we have a large sitting room so we both both bop around whilst playing, but if your space is limited, what do you do? sit on the sofa and wave the controllers while the other person sits and sings along? The choice of songs was limited and not that impressive. The vocal assist is a good idea but didn’t work too well. You either hear too much of the original vocals on the playback or you have to switch it off completely. In all, i prefer Singstar much more for the choice of songs (however, the more you play Boogie, the more songs are available that you can unlock - i just didn’t have the patience for that thoguh others might find it appealing). The dance part was also disappointed. I was somehow expecting for the character to be able to pick up some of my own moves, which is not possible!! I would rate this as definitely more for the kids.

Customer Review: Great Simulation Game for a Great diving experience!
This is my second game for the Wii and, I’ve got to say, it’s great! You make your own charater to play in the game. As you progress in-game you unlock new helmets, suits and many other diving items. Once in the game you start with a tutorial. This is really useful as the instructions in the booklet weren’t very clear. Start off moving in different directions and swimming to destinations. To swim in this game you hold down B (the back button), which makes you kick you’re legs and start swimming and then to move in directions you move the Wii remote (and this is easier when you move you’re whole body too). Once you get the hang of this it becomes easy and you will soon be doing backflips in the water! Once past the tutorial a lady on your boat will explain to you how everything works and how to feed fish in the sea and discover more and more facts about them, eg stroking fish and being close to them. You will recieve Mail on your Blackberry telling you what to do next. Whether this is taking a local out for a swim or entertaining tourists or doing research about the sealife. And the more and more you do the more and more you unlock on deck. Searching the sea for hidden artefacts and shipwrecks is very fun. Sail to any part of a vast ocean and explore there and every different part has different fish and sponges. After a while a dolphin starts to follow you around - you can train him! The graphics are stunning. Absolutly amazing! And the soothing and calming music is very good. 10/10 I garentee you will love this!

I’m not an experienced games person, but reading the other reviews on this game made me get it…. and I loved it. If you are into fast moving games you could find this slow - but actually you just get really hooked. There really is so much to do and explore. It is relaxing, interesting and a visual treat. You get to train / dive with dolphins. You can just explore in your own leisure or do the requests the game gives you. I would suggest following the requests, you get to see and understand alot more.
