Nintendo DS Lite Handheld Console (Pink)
Nintendo DS Lite Handheld Console (Pink)
In a nutshell:
It may have taken the world by storm with its huge range of genuinely innovative new games but there’s no denying that the Nintendo DS is not exactly the most portable of portable consoles. That’s all changed now with this sleek and sexy update.
The lowdown:
When the Nintendo DS was first announced it was dismissed by many as a white elephant - with a gimmicky interface and underpowered graphics. Over 15 million sales later and the story is a little different. The DS Lite is fully compatible with all existing Nintendo DS (and Game Boy Advance) games but it’s smaller, sleeker and lighter - with a new design that perfectly matches the Nintendo Wii console. The most impressive feature is the new backlit screens which offer the sharpest image ever seen on a portable console. The DS Lite is available in three separate colours: White, Black and Pink.
Most exciting feature:
The DS Lite now has four brightness settings - the highest is brighter than even the PSP and is clearly visible in any lighting condition. That sound? That’ll be Sony executives running to the hills - wearing sunglasses.
Since you ask:
The Nintendo DS is the fast selling console ever in Japan. When the DS Lite was released, it sold out instantly, with queues of over 1,000 people a common sight.
The bottom line:
The DS gets a face lift to become Nintendo’s best looking portable ever. - Harrison Dent

Customer Review: <3<3<3 My DS
I’ve been wanting a pink DS Lite ever since the launch, and my boyfriend recently got me it for me. It’s the best thing ever, I can have hours of fun on it and it just looks so cool and girly, I love it! New Super Mario Bros was fun to play, but now that I’ve finished it, Im waiting on my R4 DS, which I heard is a must-have if you’ve got a Nintendo DS. Since I’ve had my DS, 3 of my friends have gone out to buy it as well, and I’m getting my boyfriend one for himself.
The colour screens are really bright and the battery life is good, I have my screen resolution on the 3rd setting (there’s 4 settings) and I can play up to about 4-5 hours in total on it, then the red battery light will come on. The wireless game modes are a lot of fun, and there’s loads of stuff you can buy to customise your DS. I also got the accessory pack for it which came with a matching case, ear phones and in-car charger, so now I practically take my DS everywhere with me =]

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 (Nintendo DS)
While Electronic Arts’ other sports games may be locked in a deadly rivalry with their competitors there really hasn’t been a golf sim to go head-to-head with Tiger Woods for years. There doesn’t seem to be too much laurel sitting going on though, especially since this is, like many Electronic Arts games this year, the first time the game has been designed specifically with the next generation of consoles in mind. Naturally that means the most realistic graphics yet, not only for the course itself but also for Tiger and the other real-world golfers. Their faces and expressions look totally life-like and on the PS3 and 360 you can use a webcam or digital camera to import your own face and graft it to your own in-game custom golfer.
In terms of gameplay the major new feature is the concept of “shot confidence” which monitors your performance through your whole career, adding an extra degree of tension to difficult shots but also allowing you to examine your game in detail to find out where you’re going right and wrong. After criticisms that last year’s game was a bit thin on options this new game has the greatest number of courses ever including Westchester Country Club, TPC Boston, Cog Hill and East Lake. There’s also the expanded GamerNet mode which acts like a sort of YouTube just for the game, allowing you post in-game videos and challenge other people to a game in an online world dedicated to nothing but golf.

Customer Review: So addictive!
I bought this game last week. I was dubious about how good the game would be on a handheld console. The graphics aren’t the greatest, but the gameplay is superb! The person who said he won the first tournament with his first go must either be a genius, or has used a preloaded character (likely to be the latter). If you start off with a newly created character and want to build up your profile, you are guaranteed hours of play and many struggles along the way! Swinging with the stylus also works so well. Its as good, if not better than using a playstation 2 controller. This was my main worry about the game, but I was pleasantly surprised. There are a couple of things to iron out with the game; The sound isn’t great. There’s no music, and when you hit an iron it has the sound of a wood! I know its only a small point, but still is worth noting! Overall, a really good game. Its so playable, and simple to use. I would definitely recommend it.
Customer Review: The Game Is Just Too Easy
the game looks and feels very good - but a major let down once you get on the course. I am no gaming mastermind at all, but won the first tournament with a basic golfer at the first attempt. I have played two holes of the second tournament and am already -3. Very disappointed.

Customer Review: Poor quality
Nintendo has a captive audience for this product, parents buy the accessory pack thinking it will complete the DS ‘experience’ however it only prove to be a poor quality bundle of plastic.Worst of all the car charger was for a Gameboy Advance not a DS which caused lots of problems. I purchased three of these for various birthdays, never again. Much better to pay a little more for the items you really require
Customer Review: Must buy bargain
This is a must buy. Simply, that is it… if you own a nintendo DS lite, then this is for you. The case is great and it comes with loads of extras. Car charger, mains charger protable charger, screen protector, spare styluses. Buying these things seperatly would cost a lot more than this product does! For this price i was expecting cheap, nasty and for it not to last long. How wrong i was! its all good quality and works brilliantly. if you take your DS out of your house, you need this! Amazing

Customer Review: really , really poor
I really don’t know what all the fuss is about. The character controls are very poor- you are unable to look up or down (this is often a pain as you cannot see who is trying to shoot you). My copy of the game seemed full of bugs. For example, the game froze regularly and required a restart. The puzzles are very limited and repetitive. Sometimes the character failed to repond to controls. Finally, the music is a 30 second loop of the film score. This gets really annoying! Another lazy, cynical attempt to extract more cash from star wars fans. One of the worst games that I have ever played.
Customer Review: Dark Forces with Boobs
I’m a child of the late eighties, so I witnessed the birth of the snes, megadrive, and sony playstation. One of my favourite games on the playstation was Dark Forces. Cheesy as hell. But so fun to play. This game reminds me a lot of Dark Forces. Infact I wouldn’t be surprised it was made on the same engine. You collaborate with a little robot called Zeeo, he solves puzzles so you can unlock doors and maps etc using the stylus. And you also do this thing that I find hilarious where you ride on the back of the robot to slide around tracks on walls, without turning when you decide to go in a different direction. Hehe. The gameplay is a lot of fun. If you enjoyed Dark Forces try to imagine a more puzzle filled game, and that’s what you got here. Kyle Katarn even features in this game, so I think there is a link with the producers here. I hope they bring Dark Forces out on the DS that game rocked. But yeah overall good fun
