Although it doesnt boast the same 3D graphics as other formats. The 2nd platform works really well. There is a huge amount of dialogue and the cutscenes are all there as well. The game is about the right difficulty with a few hard parts. My only gripe is that its not that long but apart from that definately 5 stars!

Customer Review: So repetitive
This is the first Harry Potter game I’ve played. I thought the film was the best so far and it’s a very good book. This game starts quite well and I found it interesting to use the stylus to cast spells, but it quickly got very repetitive. I agree with the other reviewers as it sucked all the fun out of playing and just trying to get to the end. I was on a task and noticed I was going to cross the courtyard and thought “Oh no, I’m going to have to duel yet again!”. Not because it’s hard, but it’s so boring. Also, did the game end on task 28 as no credits came up and I’ve still not even completed 50% of the game according to the save slot? I’ve even done all the mini-game lessons, won a lot of other games and it seems shocking that I’m not even half way through!!!

I was looking forward to playing this game, after just finishing The Goblet of Fire, which was not brilliant but took me over a week to finish and had some difficult tasks especially towards the end, but this took me one day to finish and was boring to the extreme. Too many tasks which are the same and too much time wandering around the school looking for the next task. The duels were too easy. I wouldn’t recommend this game.

The game cannot be faulted at all in providing exactly what is expected - a large number of Su Doku puzzles with an initial tutorial mode for those unfamiliar with the puzle , going all the way up to quite difficult . Game times are kept , and there is a star system based on how quickly the puzzles are completed . Completing the grid is by either writing the numbers in the boxes , or tapping on a panel beside the grid .There is space to actually ‘pencil’ in suggestions for numbers in boxes - I have done this when doing the puzzle in newspapers for instance .

So . It’s pretty low on frills , but you get what you want - heaps of puzzles !

Customer Review: A must for Sudoku fans
There are several aspects of this game which make it stand out from other sudoku games. There are two methods for completing the grids, by touching a number pad (this is extremely helpful as a number becomes greyed out when it has been entered in the grid 9 times), or by writing in with the stylus. So you can choose which method suits you best. There are 10 practice sessions where an incorrect entry comes up red which is very good for beginners. There are 400 puzzles ranging from practice, easy, normal and hard and a time record and scoring is kept so you can go back and repeat a puzzle to try and improve on your score. Hours of fun!! You can highlight numbers and lines in the grid to make it easier to see where you have completed. All in all, I totally love this version of sudoku and would recommend it 100% to both sudoku fans and newcomers to sudoku alike.

As a fan of Zelda games, and of the DS, I was really excited about the Phantom Hourglass… and I wasn’t one bit disappointed! The game carries on the great Zelda tradition for anyone familiar with it, and it is a direct follow-on to the Gamecube Zelda and the Wind Waker - it starts where the Wind Waker finished off. A must for Zelda fans!! But even if you haven’t played other Zelda games, you are given a full story and will enjoy it as a standalone game. The story is great, funny in parts and with a main story and side-quests to keep you occupied for ages. The thing I really loved about this Zelda was the touch screen. This game really uses the touch screen functions, from running and using your sword, to more fun things like deciding what direction your boomerang goes in, mapping out your sea journey on your sea-chart, calling through the microphone to get a character’s attention or to blow on lanterns and dusty maps, and the most useful thing of all: writing notes on your map or circling where a trap is, for example. Sooo handy, you’ll wonder how you ever went through a dungeon in a game without it! There’s lots more the DS functions are used for, but I think you get the general idea that it’s really well used! I’ll stop now, but basically I’d really recommend this game to everybody who likes DS games where the touch screen is used, likes role-playing or action type games, and who wants something that will keep them entertained for a good while! After seeing my sister playing an old zelda game on the gameboy years ago, i thought id give this new one ago on the ds. I originally thought that this game would be mega easy and really simple. I was happy to be proven wrong. Its very easy game play, but some of the tasks can be challenging, which i was pleasantly suprised at as i thought this game was for the younger crowd. The story line is good, although i find not as addictive as others, but then its easy to retrun to as it isnt as complicated as some rpg’s.
A great game to play if you cant dedicate hours on end to and can only spare 30 mins here and 10 mins there.

Super Mario 64 DS (Nintendo DS)
For anyone buying a Nintendo DS, Mario 64 is the most obvious first purchase. The main single player mode is essentially the same as the original Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64, albeit with 30 more stars to collect from the game’s myriad levels. Back in 1997 it was the first truly successful 3D platform game and today its superlative level design still puts most new games to shame.

The most obvious difference with this new DS version is that you can now control Wario, Yoshi and Luigi in the game, as well as just Mario. There are also new and more powerful power-ups, such as the ability to turn Mario into an inflatable balloon, which make some of the hardest sections a little easier.

The most controversial change to the game though is the control system. With no analogue controller you have the choice to use just the D-pad or the stylus. The latter works best, but still seems an obvious compromise over the original version. A far more convincing showcase of the DS’s touch screen can be seen with 36 different mini-games, many of which are surprisingly addictive. There’s a multiplayer mode for four people to play wirelessly, which although a little simplistic is impressive for the fact that only one person needs a copy of the game to play it.

Although it does at times seem a little obvious that this was not a game originally designed with the DS in mind, it’s still an enormous amount of fun and manages to showcase just about everything the new console is capable of. –David Jenkins

Well what can I say. I had never considered getting a DS until I played this at my friend’s house. I’ll sum it up in a few bullets: -very good graphics -fun for hours and hours -fun even when you’ve completed the game -you can play as all 4 characters (yoshi, mario, luigi, wario) -good storyline -BRILLIANT to play multiplayer, though we usually make up games like tag, 40 40 home, and hide and seek when in multiplayer mode -challenging -not repetitive -can be very hard to get hold of in high street shops, and even if you do find it, it will be atleast ?30 -over all FANTASTIC! I must point out that when you ask for this game in shops they will most likely tell you it is a very old game, not very good on the DS because it is 3D and they will probably recommend Super Mario Bros. They will also tell you rather annoyingly to trust them because they work in a DS store. They are wrong! I have been playing Mario games since the original black and white gameboy, in gameboy colour, gameboy advance SP and now nintendo DS. It works really well in 3D format! Overall a fantastic game, I would recommend it to anyone with a DS, even if the price is a bit offputting! Hope this helps!

I got my DS as a treat for my hols & really fancied the puzzles rather than midless gaming. It stores several peoples scores so you can share it with family members or mates & see who is the “brainiest” amoung you…its quite addictive & competition can soon break out as everyone wants to increase their score. I definitely wouldnt say its easy to complete & after a few goes you will have “completed it all”…I have played with this an awful lot & getting gold medals in the different categories is no mean feet….its very interesting to see how different each persons brain works…some of the tasks i am brilliant at & some i just cant do properly no matter how hard i train! this is great fun for adults & children alike…definitely i would recommend it

Got this for the kids together with Brain Training. From the childish graphics, I assumed this would be too easy, but I was wrong I love the great variety of games and activities and how challenging they are. Though I also enjoy Brain Training, I prefer Brain Academy because of the variety of activities provided. Ideally, you should get both Big fun for the whole family!

Well, where to start? To start off lets go to

Monopoly: Great graphics, great gameplay and amazing overall, just like the actual game but portable!

Boggle: You get a group of letters and you have to make words out of them, can get quite challenging at times.

Yahtzee: A great version of the game but you can play it on different boards, you get some numbers and have to do specific things to get points, it’s really addictive.

Battleships: Just like the game aswell, great animations when you get hit or sunk and on the story mode you can use different boats including sailing boats to pirate ships.

And the best part is that someone else with a ds can download and you can both play a game together without the need for you both to buy it.

Overall an amzing game for an amazing price

I always loved these boardgames as a kid, and enjoyed playing them with my husband and daughter at home. But now that I live alone I don’t have anyone to play them with, so this compilation has been a boon to me! They are easy to set up and customise (cheat!!!!) and you can save games if they go on too long and come back to them later. I haven’t tried the wireless option, and I doubt if I ever will, but for a saddo like me who just likes playing games with little or no pressure, I feel that this game is ideal and well worth the money.

I have had a DS for nearly a year now and there has rarely been a day when I didn’t squeeze in time to play it. I love the touch screen and microphone features as you can really feel part of a game. Also, the charge lasts for ages! There is such a wide variety of games for the DS so it is brilliant for absolutely anyone. I love connecting with other people and swapping items and info.

I have never had a normal DS so I can’t really compare it to the DS lite. However I have played on other people’s and found them to be quite heavy and bulky and difficult to play. The DS lite looks stylish and fits neatly in your pocket!

So, to conclude, I could not live without this product now that I’ve had a taste for it!!!

My nintendo came yesterday. I was so exited. I charged it and set it up. It only took a few seconds and soon i was playing on MORE BRAIN TRAINING, a very good game.

My friends have nintendo ds lites and love them so i couldent wait to get mine. For christ mas im going to ask for NINTENDOGS DALMATION AND FRIENDS because my friend has the labrodor one and we can trade dogs. Im also going to ask for PAINT a game thats on amozon but has no reveiws. There will be one after christmas though. BY ME.

By the look of the pictures its a game where you can trace, copy or draw your own pictures. It looks great.

Im also asking for THEME PARK because i was going to get ZOO TYCOON but it sounds more boring than THEME PARK and in THEME PARK you can even choose the smallest details. There are also some great reveiws on it.

Anyway back to the nintendo ds lite. Its better than the old one that one of my friends have got. It has a better light, with diffrent settings of brightness and its smaller. It also has a morte comftrable stylus and the microphone is in a better place.

I like the two screens and the way you dont have to fiddle with buttons because you can use the stylus.

My brother says its fun and easy to use comeared to other cgames consoles. He likes MORE BRAIN TRAINING lots along with NINTENDOGS.

My dad agrrees its fun and loves to check his brain age and do other things.

My mum just likes it and says the stylus is a great idea.

Pictochat is fun. You can talk to your friends or draw pictures to look at yourself.

I also like the display screen where you can see the time and date. Also you can select weater you want to go onto a nintendo ds game, go on pictochat, change your settings or play a gameboy advance game.

I had a Gameboy advance SP and i find the nintendo a lot ewasier and being able to put in gameboy games is usefull. The nintendo is way better than the gameboy and you can even buy skins for your nintendo to make it look better.

Customer Review: surprisingly addictive if you give it a chance
The first couple of times I played this it just seemed too simplistic and boring. But then as the difficulty of the shifts increased and targets got higher it started getting really addictive. Its very simple in its concept - and really a lot of the best games are. I’m not sure that many guys would like this game, not because of the main character ‘flo’ being girl, but its all about multitasking, and lets face it that not a boy thing!. For successful shifts you get rewarded with new outfits and make-overs for the restaurant, and ultimately unlock new restuarants. Overall its a good game and good for all ages.

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and only just had a chance to play it. I wondered really wether I was doing the right thing in buying it at the time but have to say this game is really good fun. You have to seat, serve and clear up after customers, keeping the queue down and trying to organise the way you do things to get the most money out of the customers. I could see how some people might find it a bit repetitive but the challenge every time to reach the target in every shift really makes it worth it. As a little treat you get to upgrade your resturant and add things to it. You have to make the customers experience extra good so that they tip you more and dont walk out. Its a great little game, I was pleasantly suprised when I played it.

If you like ponies or horses, this game is for you. It has excellent graphics and is very realisic. I like the horses, they are very calm and gentle. The scenery is very pretty too. In this game, you can care for, ride and stroke your pony. Of course you can do many other things, but these are the main things. Its hard to get money in this game, but I suppose then it lasts longer. If you like action packed games, this isn’t really for you. Its an extremily calm sort of game, and doesnt require you to think much. I think the downside is that maybe its a bit depressing. The horses seem sad most of the time and you can’t realy do an awful lot. At least you can enter them in races though. ANyway, I’d say this is a general good game.

This is really cool! You start off by buying a pony. You can decide if you want to buy a real breed or if you want to make your own one. It is posible to have three ponies at once. The trail rides are SOO real. The graphics are always good. Some people won’t like this game because you don’t get to steer the pony, but to be honest there are so many other things to do that you don’t really have time. You can take photos of animals and look for gates to unlock new trails. A must for all pony lovers!!!!!!!!

Really good kit for the price. The only things I haven’t used are the thumb stylus (but that’s purely because I prefer the stylus that comes with the DS), and the screen protectors (after reading reviews for many different ones, the protectors with the best reviews are the Official ones, which I’ve found to be really good). I have had a DS for nearly a year now and there has rarely been a day when I didn’t squeeze in time to play it. I love the touch screen and microphone features as you can really feel part of a game. Also, the charge lasts for ages! There is such a wide variety of games for the DS so it is brilliant for absolutely anyone. I love connecting with other people and swapping items and info.

I have never had a normal DS so I can’t really compare it to the DS lite. However I have played on other people’s and found them to be quite heavy and bulky and difficult to play. The DS lite looks stylish and fits neatly in your pocket!

So, to conclude, I could not live without this product now that I’ve had a taste for it!!!

My nintendo came yesterday. I was so exited. I charged it and set it up. It only took a few seconds and soon i was playing on MORE BRAIN TRAINING, a very good game.

My friends have nintendo ds lites and love them so i couldent wait to get mine. For christ mas im going to ask for NINTENDOGS DALMATION AND FRIENDS because my friend has the labrodor one and we can trade dogs. Im also going to ask for PAINT a game thats on amozon but has no reveiws. There will be one after christmas though. BY ME.

By the look of the pictures its a game where you can trace, copy or draw your own pictures. It looks great.

Im also asking for THEME PARK because i was going to get ZOO TYCOON but it sounds more boring than THEME PARK and in THEME PARK you can even choose the smallest details. There are also some great reveiws on it.

Anyway back to the nintendo ds lite. Its better than the old one that one of my friends have got. It has a better light, with diffrent settings of brightness and its smaller. It also has a morte comftrable stylus and the microphone is in a better place.

I like the two screens and the way you dont have to fiddle with buttons because you can use the stylus.

My brother says its fun and easy to use comeared to other cgames consoles. He likes MORE BRAIN TRAINING lots along with NINTENDOGS.

Pictochat is fun. You can talk to your friends or draw pictures to look at yourself.

I also like the display screen where you can see the time and date. Also you can select weater you want to go onto a nintendo ds game, go on pictochat, change your settings or play a gameboy advance game.

I had a Gameboy advance SP and i find the nintendo a lot ewasier and being able to put in gameboy games is usefull. The nintendo is way better than the gameboy and you can even buy skins for your nintendo to make it look better.

Customer Review: what does the picture show?
Just about to get Wii and looking at charger unit. There appears to be 2 chargers out at present - another made by 4gamers and this one. Is this made by Nintendo or not? Also what is shown in the picture? Is the thing on the left a nunchuck and if so is it getting charged? Are there lights on the unit to show when it is charged? If is charging battery packs up what are the 2 white things in the left of the picture? Are these battery packs and do they replace what comes with the wiimotes? Someone out there help!!

Customer Review: It’s okay
My main problem with this is what a waste of energy, the USB connector means that the Wii has to be on (at least in standby) to charge the battery packs meaning that you waste energy powering the wii to charge the remotes. This is fine if you have 2 remotes and play 1 player games swapping the packs around but if you play 2+ player games and wear down the packs you’ll need to keep the wii on once you’ve finished playing until they’re charged which seems utterly pointless.

Other than that it does what it says on the box, I find it takes about 3 hours to fully charge the battery pack and the pack dies after around 4 hours but I guess that depends on the game you’re playing as to how much the wiimote is used. I’m sure there are better products out there that can be charged independently of the Wii, retrospectively I’d buy them instead as this will probably cost more in powering the wii than the extra cost.

As if the idea of five games in one package didn’t sound a good enough deal on its own the Wii’s best multiplayer compendium comes free with the console.

The lowdown:
Clearly realising that they need to provide some quick and obvious reasons why the Wii Remote is such a good idea Nintendo have packed in this compilation with the console, which includes simple versions of tennis, golf, baseball, bowling and boxing. The four player tennis game is the obvious stand out as you swing the Remote exactly as you would a real tennis racket, with the game seeming to almost magically interpret your movements into the game. All the other games work in a similar way, as you hold the Remote like a golf club or ready it like a baseball bat - you can even use it to gently roll bowling bowls and add some subtle aftertouch. The graphics make be purposefully basic but these are the games to instantly prove why the Wii is going to be such a revolution.

Most exciting moment:
While even Wii Tennis can be played with very minor movements of the Wii Remote the boxing game actively encourages you to act things out properly. You hold up both the Remote and the nunchuck to simulate your two hands and then duck and weave as you switch between trying to pummel your opponent and dodging or blocking their own attacks.

Since you ask:
You can use your own customised Mii Channel character in any of the games for that personal touch. The idea was originally just a joke featuring caricatures of Nintendo’s top brass for a press conference, but it proved so popular that Nintendo ensured anyone could make their own character to play with.

I have been trawling theinternet for a wii for my four children as they have played it at a friends house and rate it so highly nothing can compare apparently. I really wanted to make this christmas the best ever as it could be my last due to seriously ill health. Nonetheless, i find it disgraceful that the only place to stock it is charging 100% more than the rrp! As i’m unable to leave the house i rely a lot on on internet sites and am so frustrated. In my amazon shopping basket are fun books etc just to make the holidays a funny time so they can remember fun times. I just hope they see sense and bring the price down in line with the rrp.

There are lots of comments about availability rather than the console itself here, so I thought I would get back to the point. I come from a gaming background that saw me growing up in the halcyon days of 8 bit computing. I owned a Commodore 64 and for those who are unaware what 8-bit computing was like, let’s just say it didn’t rely on graphics - although at the time they could seem amazing. The most important things were gameplay and addictiveness. These are the Wii’s strengths. I also remember having an old Atari VCS console and both my Commodore and Atari saw hours upon hours of continuous use. Not because they had great graphics, but because the gameplay was addictive and rewarding. You only need a little imagination and graphics really aren’t that important. This brings me back to the Wii. Some gamers comment about the inferior graphics to some other consoles. Whilst this may be true, they are hardly poor in comparison to past systems and computers, but the most important thing is that the system is easy to use and has many highly enjoyable and addictive games to play. They are also great fun for people of many ages to play. I remember my grandmother playing on our Atari VCS, and if she was still with us I’m sure she would enjoy the Wii. Also like the Atari though, this is a system that is and will be loved by younger people too. It really is the family console it is cracked up to be. And in a day and age when so many family members seem to do their own thing, having something that brings everyone together in the lounge to share fun is something not to be missed.

Customer Review: Great Games some flaws
I purchased Rockstar Tabletennis in an instance hoping for it to be upto the level of fun as those of Wii Sports. When I first played it I was slightly suprised at the graphics of the game not in a bad way but the major flaw i spotted was that in Gameplay I actually had to swing the wii-mote before the ball came to me and that is the only Major flaw I spotted but nonetheless the game is still great fun to play and is great for the Wii!
Customer Review: Great fun… unless you’re left handed.
If you are right-handed then please read the other reviews. However, for us southpaws this game lacks a single left-handed player, which renders this game pretty much redundant, unless you are willing to take on the (unrealistic) challenge. This seems to be a major flaw in many Wii games that require or rely on specific single handed use and Table Tennis is no different. So, I’m giving this 3 stars as the game is actually very good (apparently!) but I am forced to sell it and revert back to Wii Sports tennis. Don’t buy this game if you are a lefty and want an accurate sim.
