You can keep three pups in your home at any time. When left to their own devices, they’ll play and play-fight together. And they call this ‘puppy love’.

The bottom line:
A Nintendog is not just for Christmas.

The money is a bit of a problem, and it’s not very clear on how to do the obedience trials. You start off with ?1000 but dogs costt around ?550 so you get stuck for a bit unless you sell some accessories. Maybe they should re-issue the game with a few improvements!

I got this free with my Nintendo DS. The graphics are fantastic, very realistic and VERY cute. It makes great use of the touch screen. However:

-you can really only spend about 10 minutes on it per day
-it gets really boring very quickly
-the voice recognition sounds good and is quite fun the first few times…then it is incredibly annoying as you pitch has to be perfect
-extremely overpriced, only get if free or up to ?5

So I’m sorry to say it’s a really rather terrible game : (
I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, and don’t buy it unless you’re a millionaire.

I have now bought 2 of these. A blue one and now a pink one. They are excellent value. The charger is for a older type nintendo DS but there is a converter lead to change it so you can use it on DS lites. The case has plenty of room for your DS and any games you want to take. In a nutshell:
As if the idea of five games in one package didn’t sound a good enough deal on its own the Wii’s best multiplayer compendium comes free with the console.

The lowdown:
Clearly realising that they need to provide some quick and obvious reasons why the Wii Remote is such a good idea Nintendo have packed in this compilation with the console, which includes simple versions of tennis, golf, baseball, bowling and boxing. The four player tennis game is the obvious stand out as you swing the Remote exactly as you would a real tennis racket, with the game seeming to almost magically interpret your movements into the game. All the other games work in a similar way, as you hold the Remote like a golf club or ready it like a baseball bat - you can even use it to gently roll bowling bowls and add some subtle aftertouch. The graphics make be purposefully basic but these are the games to instantly prove why the Wii is going to be such a revolution.

Most exciting moment:
While even Wii Tennis can be played with very minor movements of the Wii Remote the boxing game actively encourages you to act things out properly. You hold up both the Remote and the nunchuck to simulate your two hands and then duck and weave as you switch between trying to pummel your opponent and dodging or blocking their own attacks.

Since you ask:
You can use your own customised Mii Channel character in any of the games for that personal touch. The idea was originally just a joke featuring caricatures of Nintendo’s top brass for a press conference, but it proved so popular that Nintendo ensured anyone could make their own character to play with.

The bottom line:
Five of the best games on the Wii and they all come free with the console!-HARRISON DENT

I had a play on my brothers Nintendo Wii and decided to get one. I was unaware of the scarcity of the Wii until I came to buy one. ?300 plus for an item previously sold for ?175 is out of order. Then I discovered Amazon de ( the German arm of Amazon) selling the same spec but with a euro plug - easy to sort - - multi language manual , plays all UK games, for a total price delivered of ?175. Can’t be bad. No problem using Amazon de, open a checkout in both Amazon UK and Amazon de and one explains the other. Remember not to proceed with English purchase. Delivery will be in 2 weeks. No catch and has pan European guarantees and Amazon name. Hope this helps

Customer Review: THE FAMILY CONSOLE
PS3 and 360 owners - please stop harping on about the graphics and performance. The Wii was never mean’t to compete with the next gen consoles and it never will, nintendo saw a niche in the market which was to entice people who previously had no experience or little interest in console gaming. You only have to look at the majority of titles for the wii - they are simple, fun and above all easy to get into even for first time gamers. I see the Wii has the party/family console, in terms of power it is not a million miles away from the old gamecube but its the controller that makes the difference which is great although on some games you still can’t beat a good old gamepad.

THE GOOD: Incredibly easy to use, best console for young kids by far. Excellent for parties etc. Good Value for money. Backward compatible with gamecube games. Full downloadable catalogue of retro games. Some very unique games not available on other consoles.

THE BAD: Graphics have’nt been evolved much since the gamecube. Control system expensive. Tiny internal memory, as yet only SD memory cards available (but there is talk of a external HD which will then make the console as expensive as a ps3 ?299). Still no DVD? Serious titles a bit thin on the ground with many titles being direct ports from other consoles ie PS2 - therfore not taking advantage of the wii.

Overall I like the wii for quick bursts of fun but I would’nt want to have it has my only console.

A nunckuk is a simple atachment to the Wii remote that gives you extra control over a game.So far 4 out of 6 of my games need it.If it has a nunchuk icon in the top-right corner of the box it needs it for all or part of the game.You get one free with the console,but you can get another for multiplayer. Here are some notes:
1.The control stick has a special feature:you can move it a little bit and it does the action a little bit,like a steering wheel!
2.The upper button is called “c” and the lower button is called “z” so if you see c and z mentioned in reviews you`ll know what they`re talking about. Don`t get them the wrong way round!
3.It fits in your hand perfectly-no need to worry about it being uncomfortable.
4.Don`t put the control stick in your mouth (if you do it goes all yellow).
5.The cord length is fine(almost the armspan of a quite tall 9-year-old).

So overall the nunchuk wins 5 stars for its special control stick feature; fitting into your hand nicely; and its cord length, and only has 1 bad point which is being just plain white and even this is hardly a “bad” point because you never look at the nunchuk when you`re playing and even this can be fixed by buying a skincase for it.

Ok here we go the Wii is brilliant we all know that already, so i am not going into great detail about it as a piece of hardware just read the other 200 so glowing reviews for that, recently in the last five years or so the games market was stagnant with the games it was releasing, now i know some people will say ”there has been lots of good games in the last five years”, that may be true but most worked on the same principle as every other game before it, now again some would say ”i like that” really you like playing games that played the same as ten years ago with graphical updates, you see this is where the real gamers come in they appreciate innovation trying new things and not being afraid to be laughed at for and idea remember the ds pre launch ”Touch screen for games you’re joking right” look who is laughing now. This is why i like Nintendo not scared to do something different and as a result you get some really artistically brilliant pieces of gaming Mario,Zelda,Metroid the list goes on Nintendo real games for real gamers and none gamers alike.

First off, if you are a serious gamer then dont buy a Wii, buy an Xbox or PS3, for the extra money you have superior graphics and gameplay and there are loads more games available than there is for the Wii. However, if like me, you are not into spending every night playing video games and just want something that is fun, easy to use and good for more than one person to play, then i’d say buy a Wii! I bought the console from amazon for 179.98 and also bought wii play (mainly for the extra remote, which is a must!) The actual console itself is small (same size as my Sopranos series 6 box set) which is great as it takes up very little space and is easy to set up. The wii sports which come with the console are highly addictive, the bowling and tennis are a hit with my wife and ive spent hours on the golf and boxing! although they are essentially mini games so are limited in the number of matches / holes / levels you can play. Overall i have to say i am surprised at how much fun it is playing the wii as i had heard many different opinions (mostly from people with Xboxes or playstations though!). If you are looking for something to keep you busy on the odd evening or something that you and your mates or partner can play then id recommend getting one.

A nunckuk is a simple atachment to the Wii remote that gives you extra control over a game.So far 4 out of 6 of my games need it.If it has a nunchuk icon in the top-right corner of the box it needs it for all or part of the game.You get one free with the console,but you can get another for multiplayer. Here are some notes:
1.The control stick has a special feature:you can move it a little bit and it does the action a little bit,like a steering wheel!
2.The upper button is called “c” and the lower button is called “z” so if you see c and z mentioned in reviews you`ll know what they`re talking about. Don`t get them the wrong way round!
3.It fits in your hand perfectly-no need to worry about it being uncomfortable.
4.Don`t put the control stick in your mouth (if you do it goes all yellow).
5.The cord length is fine(almost the armspan of a quite tall 9-year-old).

So overall the nunchuk wins 5 stars for its special control stick feature; fitting into your hand nicely; and its cord length, and only has 1 bad point which is being just plain white and even this is hardly a “bad” point because you never look at the nunchuk when you`re playing and even this can be fixed by buying a skincase for it.

We bought on of these charging stands so that we would be able to have the remotes fully charged whenever we wanted to use them. The main problem with this product, apart from the fact that one of the charging stations doesn’t work, is that you have to have your Wii console switched on, not on stand-by, for the remotes to charge. Don’t know about you, but when the Wii is on it is because we want to use it NOT so that we can charge the remotes. We don’t think that it is a good idea to have the Wii switched on at all times. It is probably easier and cheaper to buy a battery charger!

Tetra falls into danger when she explores the ship alone, and Link falls into the ocean when he attempts to rescue her. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is controlled almost entirely by the stylus. Using the touch screen, players direct Link?s movements and attacks: A sweeping motion triggers Link?s spin attack and tapping characters makes Link speak with them. The stylus controls offer a more intuitive means of playing the game and open up new possibilities for puzzle solving.

The game action takes place primarily on the touch screen, with a map on the top screen. However, the player can inspect the map on the touch screen and make notes using the stylus. The notes on these maps are saved for review on the top screen during game play. Players use the map to chart courses for their ships, too. Using the stylus to draw a path through the islands, players set their ships? courses. Then, as the ships automatically follow the paths drawn, players can control their ships? cannons to target oncoming enemies.

As a fan of Zelda games, and of the DS, I was really excited about the Phantom Hourglass… and I wasn’t one bit disappointed! The game carries on the great Zelda tradition for anyone familiar with it, and it is a direct follow-on to the Gamecube Zelda and the Wind Waker - it starts where the Wind Waker finished off. A must for Zelda fans!! But even if you haven’t played other Zelda games, you are given a full story and will enjoy it as a standalone game. The story is great, funny in parts and with a main story and side-quests to keep you occupied for ages. The thing I really loved about this Zelda was the touch screen. This game really uses the touch screen functions, from running and using your sword, to more fun things like deciding what direction your boomerang goes in, mapping out your sea journey on your sea-chart, calling through the microphone to get a character’s attention or to blow on lanterns and dusty maps, and the most useful thing of all: writing notes on your map or circling where a trap is, for example. Sooo handy, you’ll wonder how you ever went through a dungeon in a game without it! There’s lots more the DS functions are used for, but I think you get the general idea that it’s really well used! I’ll stop now, but basically I’d really recommend this game to everybody who likes DS games where the touch screen is used, likes role-playing or action type games, and who wants something that will keep them entertained for a good while! Suitable for any age or gender (I’m a 20 year old female). Buy it now!!!:)

After seeing my sister playing an old zelda game on the gameboy years ago, i thought id give this new one ago on the ds. I originally thought that this game would be mega easy and really simple. I was happy to be proven wrong. Its very easy game play, but some of the tasks can be challenging, which i was pleasantly suprised at as i thought this game was for the younger crowd. The story line is good, although i find not as addictive as others, but then its easy to retrun to as it isnt as complicated as some rpg’s.

A great game to play if you cant dedicate hours on end to and can only spare 30 mins here and 10 mins there.

According to the box cover, there are “more than 10 million users worldwide!” of More Brain Training. Yes; well. . . If those stats are as reliable as the program, then they’re best taken with a huge pinch of salt. Because this thing simply doesn’t work. The concept’s OK but the execution? Not a chance. Hand writing recognition is far inferior to, for example, the Nintendo DS ‘Word Power’ game. Speech recognition is erratic. And, most serious of all, there’s a significant software fault (at least, in the brand new MBT which I have) which renders all user efforts, pointless. The error occurs in “brain age” checking, where if the user opts for non-vocal assessment, ‘Dr Kawashima’ (who he?) comes up with three “test modes” which have to be worked through on the touch screen. So far, so good. Test mode 1 is serial subtraction, test mode 2 is high number identification, and test mode 3, serial addition. Test modes 1 and 2 function correctly: they run for a few minutes (obviously, this depends on the speed of the user) but test mode 3 goes on and on and on and on and on and on. . . Locked into a permanent loop, the “assessment” keeps throwing up numbers to add to preceding totals until in excess of 100 is reached, at which point the software fails to recognise a triple-digit total and hangs with a large question mark showing. There is no escape or exit mechanism. The only available button is “Try Again”. And all that achieves is for the software to throw up a new number, then another number to add to it, and so on, and so on, and so on, until a triple digit total is reached, at which point everything hangs again because the total cannot be recognised. Users can, of course, press “Try Again”. But doing so invites only an unending repetition of all that has gone before. And because there is no exit facility at all — an appalling omission in any software, and especially inexcusable in something like this — the only option left is to shut down the console. . . Which means the “brain age” assessment is not complete and so all the time and effort expended up to that point has been a complete waste. On re-start, it is the case that, very often, though by no means every time, the “brain age asessment” modes substitute a numerics and symbols recognition test in place of the flawed infinite serial addition test. In which case, all three modes run correctly and a “brain age” result is yielded. Of course, there’s no scientific basis whatsoever for any of this: “brain age” is a daft concept and not to be taken seriously anyway. Mental stimulation, however, does have credibility, and so if ‘Dr Kawashima’s’ offering is approached in that light, then it’s possible some value may be derived. But as the selling point of this software is: “HOW OLD IS YOUR BRAIN?”, then its consistent failure to manage its so-called assessments militates so seriously against buying it that any prospective user with a functioning brain cell would be well advised not to bother.

Having never played this before and being totally new to an Nintendo DS Lite it is easy to use, clear with instructions and really gets the competitive spirit going! In other words, to win the tactical battles, you must think out your strategy, rather than hoping on brute force.

This does compare to Advance Wars. I personally prefer the style and think this game is more intuitive.

This is best described as turn based Bejewelled/Zoo Keeper, with an RPG story wrapped round it.
A fairly run-of-the-mill fantasy story has the player choosing a character class, with different spells and abilities, based on earth, air, fire and water. The idea is to explore a world map battling opponents on the way, as random encounters, or as part of a task to complete.

The battles takes place via the usual Bejwelled/Zoo Keeper grid, but not all jewels are equal. Matching red/yellow/green/blue gems bestows mana/energy of that colour/element, different combinations and quantities being required to fuel spell casting or abilities. Stars give experience, gold is self explanetory. Skulls damage opponents, who have the usual hit points.

Each player takes turns, with the caveat that 4 or more matched gives another turn. The different opponents are distinguished with varying AI, easy ones make mistakes, high level monsters are a pain, as well as all having differing abilities (in a nod to Dungeons and Dragons, trolls regenerate). Upon the defeat of a monster (reducing hit points to zero), experience and sometimes gold is awarded.

Experience allows levelling up, different spells, oft encountered creatures can be captured (by clearing a puzzle scenario), as long as your citidel has the requisite upgrade, abilities buffed, items/runes researched, towns laid siege, all based on variations on the puzzle theme, not dissimilar to the puzzle quest mode on Zoo Keeper.
It’s all been quite well thought out, and variations on the theme covered comprehensively, wherein lies the main problem of repetition.
It’s addictive if you like that sort of thing, but if you dislike ZooKeeper or Bejwelled, stay away.

The story isn’t very good, but the ins and outs of different tasks/puzzle variations built around the RPG framework does make for a title with long term appeal. It’s also a title that is suitable for a quick 5-10 minutes on the train, which is useful if you’re trying to finish the quest, unlike the main play modes on Zoo Keeper based on time or levels (those 20 levels in ZooKeeper take a little while to complete). The sound, however, is very annoying, and turning it off was the first thing I did.

In summary, I’m hooked, until someone resurrects a proper turrn-based strategy title like Laser Squad or X-Com for the DS.

Customer Review: Avoid like the plague!
This abismal attempt at a game is a cross between final fantasy and columns, however does neither very well. Only a mindless simpleton would find this game entertaining after the first couple of hours (if you can last that long with out throwing it out the window) The graphics are poor and the gameplay is worse, i can’t emphasise enough how bad this game is.
