Family Ski (Wii) Customer Review: Cool for the summer
Great to have another game that uses the Wii fit.
Have only just started to use this game, but so far the graphics are good and there is variation to just skiing down a slope. I can’t see why this would not be fun for a variety of age groups, especially within a family.

I got a balance board when they first were released and absolutely love the Wii Fitness game. I saw that this software was compatible with the balance board too and decided to go for it.

I’m absolutely thrilled with this game. It is challenging, but fun at the same time, and if you’d just like to have a ski around the various slopes in the resort and not race/participate in challenges, that’s fine.

The controls are very easy to master and the on-screen description of how to do things in Ski School is also fantastic.

I’d highly recommend that you buy this game, especially if you have a balance board and want to add an extra dimension to its use.

I actually didn’t believe what difference this component cable can make over the standard Nintendo cable. The Wii setup immediately recognized the 420p resolution. I have Samsung LN40A550 and it recognized a feed of 720p resolution. Opened the Opera browser, and that’s where you can see the real difference. It was a superb difference to read the web pages clearly without zooming in. With original cable at 480i resolution, the fonts appear smudged. But the new one was extra clear. One must definitely give it a try.

If you want as gentle an introduction as possible to the world of Wii then this user-friendly compilation of mini-games is just the thing for you, with a collection of games that are as easy to play as they are fun.

The lowdown:
It might be easy to use but the Wii is still a pretty unusual beast and a bit of a culture shock from the overly complex controllers of other consoles. This compilation of mini-games aims to ease you in gently with simple to play games that only need the Wii Remote to enjoy. These include games of table tennis, air hockey (or Laser Hockey as the game would have it) and an updated of NES classic Duck Hunt. There’s also Wii Billiards, a fishing sim and a number of games which use your customised Mii Channel character, including Wii Pose and the Where’s Wally style Find Mii. Since many of these games have a multiplayer mode the game also comes bundled with an extra Remote (but not a nunchuck), which usually sells for ?29.99 separately.

Most exciting moment:
Although all of the games are fun the best one is probably the Duck Hunt update (which also has you shooting UFOs and other non-avian enemies). Perhaps what’s most exciting about it is that it proves how good other light gun franchises, such as Virtua Cop and Time Crisis would be on the Wii.

Bought this for my kids to use with their Wii, the controlers where chewing up the batteries in no time. The Charging station not only gives you rubber grips, making the controler more comfortable to hold and gives you a better grip, but the battery packs last much longer than fresh AA’s. Only trick is to make sure when you place controler on charging base that the charging light comes on you have to pay attention to what you are doing. I plan to buy another one when we get our fourth controller. Great product

Customer Review: Poor product, don’t take the chance.
I was a bit skeptical to purchase a non-Nintendo branded power adapter. However, I figured, it’s JUST a power cord, what could go wrong? I took it out of the box, plugged it in, then plugged it into my Wii. Things were fine for about 10 minutes then I heard a POP. Nothing seemed strange, I just thought it was something else. Shortly after the Wii shut off. I turned it back on and now I heard popping and zapping. It was coming from the power adapter. I quickly unplugged it and noticed an electrical burn smell. More than likely a bunch of cap’s inside blew out. I don’t know if there is permanent damage to the Wii, but I will not even take the chance for another unit. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

This product works fine on our smaller television. But it causes ’static’ on our large screen plasma. The static is bad enough that we simply could NOT use this power adaptor with our large Plasma. We switched back to The original Wii Power adapter that came with our Wii and that one does NOT cause any static on our large screen Plasma. Hope this helps.

This game is fantastic because you feel like you really driving a kart. I liked to drift so much! You will have more fun using the wheel but it doesn’t help a lot. But you will have a little bored after you play for a LONG time. It can be better if you can create your own kart and a own course. But it’s still good because you play online! By all appearance this game may seem like a simple and fun game. But be warned, if you have a short temper or just have very little patients, you might want to think twice about purchasing this game. My gripe with this game comes when I try to unlock everything. Suddenly all the fun antics about this game becomes annoying and will aggravate you to no end. I’ll tell you it is no fun losing a race because you were cheap-shot to death. Normally these things wouldn’t bother me however certain characters I want to unlock because they are not available at the start of the game. I can see having to unlock vehicles, that I don’t care about that but why force me to endure all these headaches just so I can race as all my favorite characters? What will aggravate you even more about this game are the items you get in the item boxes littered throughout the stage. Too often they are items you can’t even use. What good would a banana peel do me when I’m in last place? I really hate that this game aggravates me so much because I like playing the game when I’m not trying to unlock anything. The racing wheel that comes with game is a nice touch and does add to the enjoyment of the game. (Although it doesn’t really do anything)

Customer Review: I can’t believe this is still being sold! It’s a nightmare!
I googled for this game and found what I thought was the same game in two different covers. I thought one must be the UK packaging and the other USA. So, I bought the one that was available over here after reading reviews of the other. I got it and started playing it. I wondered where all the good stuff was that I’d read about and it was nowhere to be seen. This game says it’s got three skill levels. No, it hasn’t. You can complete a small puzzle, a medium one or a big one. The clues are all similar and there’s no difference in how hard the questions are. So many of the clues are things like…number plates of different countries, nobel prize winners (spelt ‘price’ in the game), winners of medals in the Olympics and places, rivers and distant tribes that I wouldn’t have a clue about. There are loads of other rubbishy questions too. I’m amazed that this game is still being sold. I haven’t had any fun with it at all and can’t even link to another DS without them having the same game…and NO WAY am I going to buy another one of these in order to do that. I’d rather play Ping Pals…and that’s saying something! Don’t buy this or you will be very sorry, but, if you see the other game which has the same name but a different cover design…BUY THAT ONE INSTEAD! That one has anagram games and word searches in it. This one only has small, medium or large crosswords that will do your head in. I think I’ve made my point.

Clues are repeated crossword after crossword and mainly consist of the international letters for countries, nobel prizewinners since the year dot, the initials of the news agency of every country and olympic games medal winners. I purchased this product about 6 months back and wanted to write the review only after the initial euphoria wore off. I already have a Wii so I was a bit familiar with what I was going for with another Nintendo product. Intially, I was torn between the PSP and the DS. But the game “Professor Layton and the Curious Village” plus my limited budget cleared this up for me. I bought the game along with the DS. And I have been happy with my decision. The DS’s touch screen is quite responsive and does not suffer from the usual touch screen glitches. The wi-fi setup and operation is actually much simpler than I thought it would be. I travel a lot and this has become a nice traveling companion while I wait for flights in transit. The battery life is also reasonable and goes for upto 8-9 hours after a single charge. Sometimes, I feel it is a much better value-for-money than my other travel accessory the 4-gig iPod nano.

Zelda Link to the Past alone is worth the price. This game has it all. If you are a Zelda fan then you will find this game to be a great one. I really enjoy playing this game. It has the usual puzzles, combat and adventure. I also enjoy Pitfall the Lost Expedition despite the less than perfect reviews it got. I don’t understand why it got such less than perfect reviews. The graphics are great and gameplay is good. I have a ball playing both of these games. Of course you can’t compare the two because they are games from different genres. Zelda is an adventure game and Pitfall is a pure platformer. When I found that these two games were bundled as a special promotion I had to give them a try and was not disappointed. I’m a gamer and I own many consoles and top-notch games and these two get my approval.

The software does what its suppose to do. I just don’t like pluggin it in the ds, then taking it out to put the game in, then putting the Action replay back in again, just to take it back out. But, like i said it does the job. I found that cheating makes the game boring though because there is no challenge.

The book seems to assume you are already familiar with the game and is only fair with regard to unit details and how to use units. The majority of the book tells you in detail how to win each scenario in the campaigns. I decided it would take all the fun out of the game for me and so it seems like kind of a waste of money unless you are the kind of person who can’t play a game without cheat codes.

The guide is like my best friend. It provides a detailed map on what the level is about and sometimes when the levels have Fog of War, they show it all without Fog of War, perfect for preparing strategies. It provided me what I needed to beat a very tough mission and now I’m ready to go through the rest of the game thanks to this. I recommend it to anyone who has yet own Days of Ruin or has a hard time with the game. 5 stars.

I am having a great time playing this game. To the people complaining about the controls, use a nunchuk. It gives you more control. I really wouldn’t want to stand up and swing for 9 innings. I like the motion controls they way they are. They work well. The fielding is great. The base running is intuitive. Most importantly the baseball itself is really fun and well done. The characters are great, the items are cool and the start powers are fun. I like the close-play cut screens. The story mode is thrown in for fun. It lets you get to know and unlock all of the characters/players. The real fun is exhibition. No season mode … no online play. Could have benefited from both in my opinion. That is the only reason for this game not to have 5 stars imo.

I have to agree with the person who gave this game 1 star. It is VERY disappointing! My son and I LOVED Mario Baseball for the Gamecube. We were hoping for something increadible being on the Wii. Alas, as the other reviewer said, the Wii controls are merely an afterthought. This wouldn’t be so disappointing if it wasn’t a Nintendo exclusive. In other words, you would expect a game designed for this system to utilize the controls of the Wii that set this system so much apart from the others. As another reviewer said, you have very little detail in the movements of pitching or batting. It’s truly sad that the Gamecube version (Mario Baseball) actually allowed you to have more control. It’s just crazy that using the Wii-mote doesn’t give you any increased versatility or variations in you batting or pitching. I give it a second star only because it has so many of our favorite Nintendo characters that we’ve enjoyed and followed for so many years. It is inconceivable for this game to get more than 3 stars. Nintendo dropped the ball and committed a major error on this one!

this product is misleading, on the package it says “loaded with powersaves” “acess hundreds of playable cheats” which makes it seem like there would be a lot of different codes but there is barely one code for each game. “and you can easily update it with new powersaves” I went on their website and found one or two codes repeating over and over, it wouldn’t be bad if there were enough codes but resident evil 4 for instance only had one code on it, one! and it was the SAME one i already had. Action replay is really screwing up and complicating what should be a fun and enjoyable experince, they should emulate the gameshark pro on the n64, you find the codes on the internet and type them in and save them, simple and easy. unless they really change the way their doing things in a positive way i won’t buy another product from them. I gave them two chances: 1.the action replay for gamecube(wasen’t too bad except for that its glitch prone and you’re stuck with the codes you’ve got) 2. this piece of monkey crap i am reviewing right now. :& if anybody knows of any alternate cheat system for the wii or gamecube please let me know in one of your reviews. much appreciated, peace : )

I have been fortunate enough to be one of the early adopters of this innovative gadget that has allowed me to take my digital experience to a new level. After I decided to build a media center PC and connect it to my big screen TV, I was in the market looking for a wireless mouse that will not only replace my mouse but will also work in a way to make my on-screen browsing experience much simpler and intuitive. When I came across this WavIt, I realized unlike a wireless mouse it gave me a 3-D navigation where I can zoom in and out of web pages, and navigate back and forth with just a twist. I could increase the volume with a twist and scroll up and down with a flip. A flip and twist did almost everything I wanted to navigate my media center PC. The installation was a breeze but it did take me a while to get used to this free floating navigation tool before I could get a steady pointer. The smartpoint feature in WavIt was just the one I needed. After I got used to it, I calibrated the WavIt to suit my navigation style and once everything was set, there was no turning back. I love the feature where it detects that your cursor is moving out of the viewing area and gives a small vibration to let you know. I could also replace my TV remote with this WavIt but I am yet to get to that piece of the feature set. The fact that I could individually program every button on WavIt to a specific function makes this highly configurable. I have programmed one button to close any application, one to zoom in and out, and one to scroll up and down. Its so cool… I would highly recommend this to anyone trying to control a media PC in the living room with a mouse. WavIt will give you whole new experience of controlling your media center PC.
Customer Review: WaveIT - the future remote!
I first saw information about this item in the local San Jose newspaper back in January 2007 and already at that time,I thought it sounded like a cool device - A kind of improved Wii for the livingroom. I purchased the device 3 weeks go and I must say, I have not been disappointed. The delivery and installation went very smooth (only drawback is that it takes some time to load the device once the pc is restarted) and within a few minutes I was up and running. The best features is the control of the internet (and there are great links to movie sites on ThinkOptics web), mediacenter and also the gaming controls. It is just great fun sitting in the sofa and playing WOW on a 42″ screen
